Qualcomm QCA 4010

Single-Chip WiFi Solution Using a Tensilica Processor

A low power MCU with integrated Wi-Fi for IoT applications, the QCA4010 follows the QCA4002 portfolio and is designed to address developers’ needs for increased memory and advanced features. It all comes in a tightly integrated single-chip system on a chip (SoC) offering, while reducing size, cost, and power consumption.

The QCA4010 features an integrated application processor, 1.5 MB (up to 800KB of which is available to developers) of on-chip memory, and an expanded set of interfaces such as SPI, UART, ADC, PWM, I2S, I2C to directly interconnect with sensors, display and actuators.

The software development kit for QCA4010 includes an IPv4/6 networking stack that includes support for IPv4/v6 header processing; UDP/TCP socket support; DHCP, multicast, HTTP/SSL client / server, and many other features. It also includes the AllJoyn™ software framework from the AllSeen Alliance, which supports interoperability with the rapidly expanded AllJoyn ecosystem that is designed to allow smart devices to communicate locally.

QCA4010 is ideal for a wide range of IoT applications ranging from appliances and remote controls, to sophisticated home automation, security, and energy management systems.
